How is a White Pearl made?

A White Pearl is cultivated in different ways depending on which type it is. To give an example, White South Sea and Akoya Pearls are made by inserting a mother of pearl bead into the oyster, which then responds by producing nacre that ultimately gives the pearl its form.

Where do they originally come from?

The White Pearl originates from all over the world. Choose from cultured White Akoya Pearls, primarily made in China, White South Sea Pearls usually from the coast of Australia, or White Hanadama Pearls (Flower Pearls) tested and certificated by the Pearl Science Laboratory (PSL) of Japan.
